OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: Member of the Oregon ODP from 2005 until 2007 … competed at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for two years with FC Portland and his teammates Tyler Baarts, Matt Dally and Alex Gatewood.
2012: WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … 12 starts and 19 appearances … finished with one assist … also attempted 18 shots, six on-goal … assist came on equalizer in 1-1 tie at Gonzaga (Nov. 7).
2011: WCC All-Academic Team … started eight matches and made 20 appearances … had three goals for six points … 26 shots and 13 shots on-goal … also had a game-winner, which came against Houston Baptist (Sept. 25) … also scored during wins at Saint Mary’s (Oct. 16) and against San Francisco (Nov. 11).
2010: Named to WCC All-Freshman Team … made three starts and 17 appearances... tallied two assists during freshman campaign … also had 12 shots and four shots on-goal … both assists came during 3-1 win over San Francisco at home on Oct. 17.
LAKE OSWEGO HS: Three-year letterwinner for coach Fraser Morrison … as a senior in 2009, he landed on both the Oregon All-State First Team and the All-Three Rivers League First Team … he led the team in goals (18) and assists (10) during his senior campaign, while also tallying five game-winners to help the Lakers win the league title … Team MVP as a senior … National Honor Society … National Merit Semifinalist.
CLUB: Played for the Lake Oswego Soccer Club (2003-05) prior to joining FC Portland in 2006.
PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 15, 1992 in Pasadena, Calif. … parents are Donna and Jeff Iwasaki … major is finance and he is participating in the Entrepreneurial Scholars Program.
