UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2010-11: With doubles partner Ratan Gill earned spot in finals of Boise State Fall Classic Orange Flight.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2009-10: Named to West Coast Conference Spring All-Academic list for men’s tennis …  in singles competition went 5-10 overall and 5-0 at No. 3 spot … went 1-3 in doubles with Mike Pigou … competed mainly with Nick Wales at No. 3 position playing to a 6-7 record … finished WCC Championships 1-2 with Wales … team finished WCC Championships in seventh place.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008-09: Went 12-10 overall in singles for the Pilots (10-4 at No. 3 and 2-6 at No. 4) … posted a 12-10 overall mark at doubles with teammate Nick Wales at the No. 3 spot … finished the West Coast Conference Championships tournament with a perfect doubles record (2-0) helping the Pilots to a fourth-place result. 

PRIOR TO UP: Played for the U-16 Canadian National Team during summer European tour … ranked No. 2  in 2005 Canadian U-16 Rankings … top ranked player in British Columbia in U-16 and U-18 divisions … earned No. 1 ranking in U-18 Pacific Northwest division.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 8, 1989 in Houston, Texas … parents are Jane and Mario Hernandez … has one sister, Hilda Hernandez and one brother, Mario Hernandez … majoring in organizational communication.
