The University of Portland men’s basketball team plays its final regular season home game when it hosts the Loyola Marymount Lions on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Chiles Center. Portland is second in the West Coast Conference standings with a half game lead over Saint Mary’s with three games left on the schedule.

 

Tickets for Saturday’s game are available through all Ticketmaster outlets (www.ticketmaster.com, 503-224-4400) or by visiting the Pilot Box Office at the Chiles Center, Mon. – Fri., 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The games will be aired live on AM 970 and streamed live at portlandpilots.com.

 

The Pilots (17-9, 8-3 WCC) have posted the program’s most wins in a season since advancing to the NCAA Tournament and finishing with a 19-11 record in 1996 and defeated Pepperdine 74-45 on Thursday. Loyola Marymount (2-25, 1-10) lost at No. 17 Gonzaga by a 91-54 margin on Thursday.
