Hello Pilot Fans!
 
It’s Erin here for this week’s blog update!
 
First off I’d like to introduce myself. I’m a sophomore from Concord, California, who transferred this year from the University of New Mexico. I have to redshirt this year due to transfer regulations, but it’s been a lot of fun getting to know the team and everyone here at UP. I love it here in the Northwest!
               
Well we’re on our last week here at the hotel before we start school again, so we’ve been taking advantage of all the activities here at the hotel. Previously on our last update you may be thinking all we do is crochet, but lately we’ve discovered many more activities.
 
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we enjoy our lobby dinners while watching the 6 o’clock news. Even the girls in the apartments have come to join us for some delicious tamales and a relaxing swim in the hotel Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is Keisha and Nikki’s personal favorite. 
               
We’ve also been taking advantage of our cable in the rooms by watching lots of movies and TV series. Kari and Byrd have been captured by ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, Amy currently loves School of Rock, Cassi and Philly are obsessed with Switched at Birth, and an overall team favorite is the TLC channel.
                               
 
On top of movie nights we’ve had many nail sessions. Combining all our colors, tools, and Jasmine’s nail salon tips we’ve become quite creative. From glitter, zebra print, and bright colors we’ve painted some masterpieces. With our beautiful nails we’ve made some adventures in Chester (the team van) downtown for some bargain shopping and good food. Mmmmm…..
 
Basketball wise we have two games this week against Saint Mary’s and San Francisco. We’ve had some great practices the past few days, getting back in the weight room and getting better every day, we’re hungry for a W! So be sure to come catch us this Thursday and Saturday for some exciting Pilot basketball!
