PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland junior forward Amanda Frisbie notched her second multi-goal game of the season on Sunday and was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Frisbie, who was named the WCC’s Co-Player of the Week on Sept. 3, scored on her only two shots during Portland’s 3-2 win over USC in Los Angeles, Calif.
Frisbie’s first goal came in the 35th minute when she and Michelle Cruz exchanged crosses before Frisbie easily finished into the back of the net. Then in the 59th minute, Frisbie tucked a shot underneath the USC keeper, capitalizing on a breakaway opportunity to hand the Pilots a 2-0 lead.
A native of McKinney, Texas, Frisbie had a four-goal outburst during a win earlier this season, and she leads the Pilots and ranks second in the WCC with six goals.
Frisbie and the Pilots return home this weekend for a pair of non-conference matches at Merlo Field. Seattle visits for a 7 p.m. game on Friday night, while Denver comes to town for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday.
