SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland sophomore midfielder Allison Wetherington was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team and is one of six Pilots total to receive all-league recognition, it was announced on Tuesday morning. Wetherington was previously named the 2013 WCC Freshman of the Year, while also nabbing second-team honors last season.
 
Originally from Acworth, Ga., Wetherington finished the season with two goals and four assists, with three of those assists coming against WCC foes. Her four assists led the team.
 
Portland senior Emily Sippel, juniors Haylee DeGrood and Noelle La Prevotte and sophomores Ellie Boon and Hanna de Haan were all named All-WCC Honorable Mention. It's the first all-conference recognition for Sippel, a forward from Beaverton.
 
It's also the first all-league honor for DeGrood, a center back who helped the Pilots post five shutouts on the year. The native of Riverside, Calif., also tallied an assist. La Prevotte earns her third straight All-WCC Honorable Mention accolade. The midfielder from Petaluma, Calif., was also named to the WCC All-Freshman Team in 2012 and she registered three goals and an assist this fall.
 
Boon, a left back from Washougal, Wash., led the team in minutes played against league opponents and she had two assists overall. She also claimed All-WCC Honorable Mention as a freshman in 2013. De Haan is a goalkeeper in her first year on The Bluff. Originally from Leer, Germany, de Haan had a goals-against average of 0.98 during conference play and she finished with a pair of shutouts.
 
BYU sophomore forward Ashley Hatch and Santa Clara senior forward Sofia Huerta captured Co-WCC Player of the Year honors, while BYU senior defender Annie Amos collected Defender of the Year accolades. Santa Clara junior Andi Tostanoski was tabbed as the Goalkeeper of the Year, while Pepperdine defender Hailey Harbison was selected as the Freshman of the Year.
 
BYU's Jennifer Rockwood and Pepperdine's Tim Ward shared Coach of the Year honors.
