We are excited to announce tailgating is back for the 26-27 season. Tailgating will be permitted in the UP main campus parking lot on all game days. Tailgates may start 3 hours prior to game times.
We will also host 6 premium tailgates throughout the season that you can register and save a space for. Reserve your spot for the premium tailgates today at: 2026 Tailgate Registration – Fill out form
2026 Premium Tailgate Dates:
- Friday, Sept 5th – Men’s Soccer vs. Wisconsin – game time 7pm, tailgate 4pm
- Sunday, Sept 12th – doubleheader vs Oregon State – game times 3 and 6pm, tailgate noon
- Friday, Sept 19th – Men’s Soccer vs New Hampshire – game time 7pm, tailgate 4pm
- Saturday, Sept 26th – Homecoming doubleheader – game times 3 and 7pm – tailgate BBQ 5-7pm
- Friday, Oct 2nd – Women’s Soccer vs Pacific – game time 6pm, tailgate 3pm
- Saturday, Oct 24th – Men’s Soccer vs. Santa Clara – game time 7pm, tailgate 4pm
RULES FOR TAILGATES
Responsibility & Safety
I acknowledge that I am responsible for the conduct of my guests and for activities occurring within my tailgate space. I agree to:
- Follow all University policies, event rules, and applicable laws
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
- Use grills, generators, tents, and other equipment safely and only in approved locations.
- Keep flames, heat sources, and equipment away from vehicles, buildings, vegetation, and pedestrian pathways.
- Avoid excessive noise, disruptive conduct, unsafe activities, and behavior that interferes with other guests or University operations.
- Follow all instructions provided by University officials, event staff, and Campus Safety.
- Stop or modify tailgate activities when directed by an authorized University representative.
- Not move my vehicle until the game is finished and it is safe to do so.
Alcohol Policy Agreement
- No alcohol may be provided, served, or made available to anyone under the age of 21.
- Take reasonable steps to verify the age of anyone consuming alcohol within my tailgate space.
- I will monitor alcohol consumption and will not serve alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated.
- Only beer and wine are permitted. Hard alcohol, distilled spirits, mixed drinks containing distilled spirits, and drinking games are prohibited.
- Alcohol may be consumed only within approved tailgate areas and during designated tailgate hours.
- Alcohol may not be sold, exchanged for money, or included as part of an admission fee.
- Alcohol must remain under the supervision of the registered tailgate host or an approved designee.
- University officials, event staff, and Campus Safety may visit or monitor tailgate areas to support safety and ensure compliance.
- Must comply with any direction to discontinue alcohol service or remove prohibited items.
Vehicles, Parking & Traffic
- Vehicles in reserved tailgate spaces must remain parked through the tailgate and the game, and may not be moved until the game is finished and it is safe to do so.
- You may take over an additional parking spot next to or behind your car in order to stay out of lanes of traffic at all times.
- Fire lanes and emergency routes must remain clear at all times.
- Participants must not move, block, or attempt to remove another person's vehicle; direct any concern to event staff or Campus Safety.
Trash & Cleanup
- Each person is responsible for removing all personal belongings and trash from their own space at the conclusion of their tailgate.
Failure to follow these expectations may result in the tailgate being closed, removal from the event, loss of future tailgating privileges, or other action under applicable University policies.
