THIS WEEK• Portland concludes the regular season by hosting the San Diego Toreros on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Chiles Center.
• Portland and San Diego are currently tied in the league standings and a win will secure an outright fifth-place finish and first round WCC Tournament bye.
• It will also be Senior Day for Portland's six graduating seniors. A pregame recognition of the players will begin at 12:45 p.m.
• Saturday is the WCC Game of the Week and will air on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, ROOT Sports NW and CSN Bay Area. Barry Tompkins and Casey Jacobsen will provide the commentary.
• All Portland basketball games will be aired live on Sports 910 (KMTT) with pregame coverage beginning 30 minutes prior to tip-off. Bill Johnson will call the play-by-play all season long.

ABOUT THE PILOTS• Portland (16-13, 7-10 WCC) lost to BYU by an 82-69 margin on Thursday at the Chiles Center for their third straight loss. Senior G Kevin Bailey scored 18 points, while Bryce Pressley added 16 points – all in the first half.
• The Pilots led 41-33 at the half, but BYU erupted in the second half by scoring 49 points and shooting 55 percent overall.
• The Pilots are tied for fifth place in the WCC standings with San Diego and the winner of Saturday's game will secure the No. 5 seed and a first round bye in the WCC Tournament.
• Senior C Thomas van der Mars is UP's all-time leader in blocked shots (120) and is also top 10 in rebounds, field goal percentage and games started.
• Sophomore PG Alec Wintering leads the WCC in three-point percentage (.500) and also ranks top five in assists, steals, and assist-to-turnover ratio.
• Bailey's 1,328 career points ranks eighth in UP history.
• Van der Mars has been named a First Team Academic All-America, the first Pilot men's hoopster to earn such an honor. He was joined on the WCC All-Academic Team by senior C Riley Barker.
• The Pilots rank 32nd nationally in three-point percentage (.389), 33rd in assists per game (15.2), 44th in rebounding margin (+4.6), and 53rd in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.23).
• Wintering has two game-winning three-pointers this season. He opened WCC play at San Diego with a three with 0.3 seconds left for a three-point win and then beat the buzzer in Portland's 72-69 win versus Pacific on Jan. 22.
• Bailey missed eight games with a foot injury suffered against Portland State on Dec. 3 before returning to the court versus Santa Clara on Jan. 8.
• A four-year starter, Bailey averaged 16.5 points per game a year ago before missing the final seven games with a leg injury.
• Van der Mars is a four-year starter and was a third team Academic All-America last year.
• Portland is 6-3 this season in games decided by five points or less after finishing 1-7 last season.
• Head Coach Eric Reveno added experience to his staff in the offseason with the addition of veteran NBA head coach Herb Brown and former Portland Trail Blazers video coordinator Tim Grass.
ABOUT SAN DIEGO• The Toreros (14-15, 7-10 WCC) have lost three straight games to the top three teams in the WCC entering today.
• USD dropped a 59-39 decision Thursday at No. 3 Gonzaga.
• Johnny Dee has led the team in scoring all four seasons and is the Toreros all-time leading scorer with 2,023 points.
• Christopher Anderson is USD's all-time leader in both assists (743) and steals (253).
• Head coach Bill Grier is in his eighth season with the Toreros after a long stint as an assistant coach at Gonzaga.
• Portland opened WCC play this year with a 60-57 win at San Diego as Alec Wintering beat the buzzer with a three-pointer.
SENIOR DAY ON SATURDAY• Portland will recognize it's six graduating seniors 15 minutes prior to tip-off on Saturday afternoon.
• Kevin Bailey, Riley Barker, David Carr, Volodymyr Gerun, Bobby Sharp and Thomas van der Mars comprise the 2014-15 senior class.
WCC TOURNAMENT SEEDING SCENARIOS• The Pilots are currently tied for fifth place in the WCC standings with San Diego, one game ahead of both San Francisco and Santa Clara.
• The top six teams in the standings receive a bye to the Saturday quarterfinals, while the No. 7-10 teams open the tournament with a Thursday play-in game.
• A Portland win secures the No. 5 seed and a Saturday quarterfinals matchup with No. 4 Pepperdine.
• A Pilot loss coupled with a San Francisco loss to Pacific gives the Pilots the No. 6 seed, while a Pilot loss and USF win drops Portland to No. 7.
