Fauble Honored I
Complete Release SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Senior cross country and track runner Scott Fauble received the 2015 Male West Coast Conference Postgraduate Scholarship. Fauble becomes the fifth Pilot in seven years to earn the WCC Postgraduate Scholarship.
To be eligible for a WCC Postgraduate Scholarship, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, demonstrate significant athletic contributions to his or her sport for a minimum of two years, and have a record of participation in campus or community activities. He or she also must submit a personal statement of intention to attend graduate or professional school for which this scholarship would be awarded.
Fauble graduated with a 3.90 GPA, as a graduate student in Education. A three-time All-American in cross country, Fauble lifted Portland to the best NCAA Nationals finish in program and WCC history with a third-place showing in 2014. A three-time student-athlete of the year at Portland, Fauble finished 12th overall in his final nationals appearance with a time of 30:34.4.
A two-time WCC All-Academic selection, Fauble qualified for the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at the West Preliminary in Austin, Texas two weeks ago in the 10,000 meter with the second fastest time.
