Full StoryEDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – University of Portland cross country alum Scott Fauble placed 3
rd at the Great Edinburgh XC International Challenge on Saturday. The All-American finished the 8km race behind Olympians Garrett Heath and Mo Farah.

"We are super proud of Scott and glad he is off to such a great start as a professional," said UP men's cross country coach Rob Conner. "The performance shows that he is elevating very quickly which is no surprise."

Fauble navigated the muddy course in a time of 25:38 which was nine seconds behind teammate Heath and seven seconds behind two-time Olympic champion Farah.

As a Pilot, Fauble helped lead the cross country team to their best finish in program history in 2014 with a third place finish at NCAA Nationals. His 12
th place overall individual finish earned him his third cross country All-American honor.Â
