SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Pilot runner Collin Penuel has been selected as the West Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday.
Penuel was the Pilots' top finisher at the season opener, placing fourth overall with a personal-best time of 15:12.55 in the 5K. His performance helped Portland tally 49 points, finishing behind Boise State (17) and ahead of Portland State (86).
The Pilots return to action on Sept. 13 at the Gator Cross, held at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Fort Steilacoom Park. Full coverage is available at PortlandPilots.com.
