INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Pilot All-Region honoree Jonas Price has qualified as an individual for the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships after placing fifth overall at the NCAA West Regional, the NCAA Cross Country Championships subcommittee announced during today's Selection Show.
Price delivered a standout regional performance, crossing the finish line in a personal-best 29:26.1. His fifth-place finish ranked third among the top individuals not advancing with a team, securing his spot at Nationals. Price has consistently been a top performer for Portland this season, highlighted by a top-20Â finish at the prestigious Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. He then placed third at the West Coast Conference XC Championships, running a personal-best 23:15.83 in the 8K to earn All-WCC First Team honors. This will be Price's second NCAA Championships appearance.
This marks the 23rd time since 2001 that the Portland men have had at least one individual competitor qualify for Nationals.
The 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by the University of Missouri, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo. The men's 10K championship race is scheduled for 8:10 a.m. PST / 10:10 a.m. EST.
