PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland senior defender Ellie Boon was named to the 2016 NSCAA All-West Region Team, while senior midfielder Allison Wetherington was selected to the all-region second team. This is the second all-region honor for Boon, and Wetherington collects her third all-region accolade.
 
Boon, an outside back from Washougal, Wash., led the Pilots in minutes played this fall. She totaled two assists and scored one goal, which was the game-winner at San Francisco. Boon, who was named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region Third Team in 2014, was voted All-WCC Second Team this fall. She nabbed all-league recognition all four years on The Bluff.
 
Wetherington landed on the All-WCC First Team this season after leading the Pilots with five assists. A native of Acworth, Ga., Wetherington also recorded four goals, two of which were game-winners. She was named to the all-region second team in 2014 and previously garnered third-team honors as a sophomore. She also earned all-conference recognition all four years and she was voted the league's freshman of the year in 2013.
