Postrace Interview With Christina FranciscoPORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland Pilots track & field sprinter Christina Francisco set a Guam national record at the IAAF World Track & Field Championships on Friday afternoon at the Moda Center. The freshman took to the track against some of the best sprinters in the world in the 400m.
Having to travel just a short ten minute drive from The Bluff to the Moda Center, Francisco competed for her home country in front of a pro Portland crowd. She completed the two laps in a time of 1:00.08 to set the Guam national record in the event.
With the weather outlook looking brighter, Francisco and the rest of the Pilots will hit the outdoor season running at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open on Saturday.
