FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Portland Pilots delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Pacific Open on Saturday at Hansom Stadium, highlighted by three event victories and a wave of personal records across both sprint and distance events.
Aria Cain led the charge on the track, sweeping the short sprints with first-place finishes in both the 100 meters (12.02) and 200 meters (24.96), recording personal bests in each race.
In the distance events, the Pilots controlled the women's 1500 meters, claiming the top two spots. Lindsey Kaines took the win with a personal-record time of 4:31.89, followed closely by Rose Perotin in second at 4:34.38, also a PR. The depth continued behind them, with Giana Atkinson placing fifth (PR), while Julia Ferreira and Avery MacDicken also added personal-best performances.
Portland's sprint group added depth in the 200 meters, with Lola Richardson, Alexis Leao, and Aaliyah Nero all placing in the top-tenth, while Nero also recorded a personal best in the 100 meters.
Up next, the Pilots travel to Stanford, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational, held April 3–4 at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
