Jones Perry ranks nationally in the top-20 in all four of these categories.
•As a team BYU has two players who have almost reached 100 blocks on the season, senior Cosy Burnett (90) and freshman Kennedy Redding (88). The Cougars lead the conference in blocks per set (2.99), team total blocks (200.5), and opp hitting percentage (.171).
• Last season, the Pilots defeated then-No.11 BYU in their first meeting of the 2016 season to record their first ever program win over the Cougars.Â
• On Saturday, the Pilots will face San Diego in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
• The Toreros are led by senior Jayden Kennedy on offense with 200 kills. Junior Kaity Edwards and freshman Roxie Wiblin are second and third on the team in kills with 149 and 148, respectively. Â
• San Diego leads the conference in assists per set (13.87), hitting percentage (.269), and kills per set (14.69). They also rank fifth in the nation in assists per set, and seventh in kills per set.Â
• Portland has won two of the last three meetings with the Toreros. Their second win of the most recent three meetings came at the end of the 2016 season when the Pilots overcame USD in five sets to mark the highest ranked team ever defeated by a Portland squad. The victory for the Pilots was also San Diego's first loss at home during the 2016 season.
