COMPLETE 2017-18 #WCCHOOPS SCHEDULE
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its comprehensive broadcast coverage of the 2017-18 men's basketball season and every game during conference play will be televised on a national or regional level, and/or produced for broadcast on the conference's digital network,
TheW.tv.
Portland is now scheduled to have a minimum of 18 regular season games televised live on national or regional television. Five games will be aired on ESPN Networks, while seven are scheduled to air on ROOT Sports NW. Other games are expected to be added with University partner CSN Northwest as well in the region.
Collectively, the league will have 18 WCC regular season games broadcast on ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) and a minimum of 41 additional games will air on regional television through conference and school partnerships with Spectrum SportsNet, NBC Sports California and NBC Sports Bay Area (both formerly Comcast SportsNet CA/BA), AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain (formerly ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain), ROOT Sports Northwest and BYUtv – along with the WCC Game of the Week. Additional televised games will be added throughout the season and will be updated on the 2017-18 WCCsports.com schedule.
As part of the West Coast Conference's long-term deal with Spectrum SportsNet, the broadcast home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers will produce and air a West Coast Conference Game of the Week each Saturday during WCC play. The Game of the Week will be distributed to television partners throughout the WCC footprint – more than 16 million homes in all. Those games will also be available live to WCC fans outside of school television markets for free on TheW.tv.
WCC This Week – a live weekly half-hour show dedicated to WCC basketball – airs in each market every Saturday during conference play leading up to the Game of the Week. WCC This Week makes its 2017-18 debut Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. PT.
In all, TheW.tv, on Stadium (formerly Campus Insiders), will air well over 100 West Coast Conference men's basketball games this season (65 conference games) produced in HD television quality for the digital platform. Other regional television broadcasts can be seen out-of-market on TheW.tv. All broadcasts on TheW.tv are available free of charge, and can be found on-line, on smart phones and tablets, and through connected TVs.
For the second straight year, many digital broadcasts will also be available through DISH Network's Sling TV and Verizon's go90 service.
West Coast Conference play begins on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Additional out-of-market outlets will be added as they become available. For the most up-to-date schedule with game times and TV listings, visit WCCsports.com or follow
