• Portland was tied with USC 48-48 early in the second half, but the Trojans rallied late. Graduate transfer Isaiah White, who played the last two years at Maine, buried six three-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points, while Takiula Fahrensohn added 10 points and six rebounds.
• JoJo Walker scored a game-high 22 points in Sunday's win, while White added 17 points and seven assists. Portland led nearly start-to-finish and held SJSU to 39 percent shooting from the field.
PORTLAND NOTES
• The team returns two starters, nine lettermen and adds five newcomers along with a returning redshirt to the 2019-20 roster.
• Freshman PG Chase Adams moved into the starting lineup and has been a difference-maker at both ends of the court. He leads the WCC with nine steals and has a team-high 13 assists through three games.

• The Pilots return their entire frontcourt rotation from last year. Tahirou Diabate, Jacob Tryon, Hugh Hogland, Theo Akwuba and Josh Phillips combined to average 16.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game and the five big men also were the top five players in field goal percentage last season.
• Hogland spent time with the Japanese National Team this year.
• Lavar Harewood (South Carolina State) joins Isaiah White as a grad transfer adding experience as Portland has no true seniors on the roster.
