VANCOUVER, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots beach volleyball team begun 2019 play at the Pacific Northwest Invitational on Saturday, at Frenchman's Bar Regional Park in Vancouver, Wash. The Pilots were unable to secure their first victory of the season, falling 1-4 to both the Washington Huskies and the Boise State Broncos.
In the match against Washington, Junior Shayla Hoeft and Sophomore Kassidy Naone secured Portland's lone pair win, taking their dual in two sets. Grad student Morgan Robinson and Sophomore Emma Scanlan earned the same feat against the Broncos, completing a three-set comeback
