THIS WEEK
• The Portland Pilots (4-7, 0-0 WCC) continue their 2026 season with a two-site series against the Oregon Ducks (7-10, 0-0 B1G).
• The weekend opens Friday, March 20 in Eugene, Ore. with a doubleheader at Grace Community Fellowship Courts (11 a.m. & 1 p.m. PST). Friday's matches will be streamed on the B1G+ Network, with live stats available on PortlandPilots.com for all contests.
• Portland and Oregon will wrap the series on Sunday, March 22 in Portland at Tom and Meg Names Family Foundation Beach Volleyball Courts (11 a.m. & 2 p.m. PST). Sunday's home matches will feature live stats via PortlandPilots.com.

LAST WEEK
• The Portland Pilots dropped three matches Saturday at the Hornet Beach Bash, falling to Sacramento State Hornets, Corban Warriors, and the San Francisco Dons at Hornet Beach. Portland moved their overall record to 4-7 on the season.
• Portland opened the weekend on Friday against Sacramento State, where the Hornets claimed a 5-0 team victory. The Pilots pushed several flights to competitive sets, including the No. 1 pairing of Tate Mercer and Sarah Incitti, who fell 21-19, 21-15. The No. 5 duo of Elizabeth Ortiz and Melissa Cormack also kept things tight before dropping a 21-19, 21-16 decision.
• In the second match, Corban earned a 5-0 win. Mercer and Incitti again competed at the top flight and battled closely but came up short 21-17, 21-19. Portland's closest opportunity came at the No. 3 flight where Michela Strati and Valerie Bruk forced a third set before falling 21-7, 19-21, 15-7.
• The Pilots closed the day against San Francisco, which also resulted in a 5-0 decision. Several matches went down to the wire, highlighted by the No. 4 flight where Nyah Mitchell and Elizabeth Ortiz fought through two extended sets before falling 23-21, 24-22. The No. 1 pair of Mercer and Incitti also pushed the Dons late before dropping a tight 22-20 second set.

ABOUT THE PILOTS
• Dylan Hamilton steps into his third year as the lead coach of the beach volleyball program, with assistant coach Kili Robins returning to the Bluff for her second season. Joining the program is Madi Culp, volunteer assistant coach.
• The Pilots return six players from last year's roster: Michela Strati, Valerie Bruk, Elizabeth Ortiz, Melissa Cormack, Leonie Freytag and Hannah Debban.
• The beach volleyball program welcomes four new athletes to their roster including Greta Kesmodel, Tate Mercer, Sarah Incitti, Lillian Lansing, Jeryn Hildenbrand, Josie Povey, and Nyah Mitchell.
• Elin Larsson and Jeryn Hildenbrand are returning from the Pilot's 2025 indoor roster.
• Pilots finished 2024 season with a 5-17 record.
