EUGENE, Ore. — The Pilots split a pair of matches with receiving-votes Bushnell on Sunday in Eugene, earning a 3-2 victory before falling 4-1 in the second dual. With the split, the Pilots move to 4-4 overall on the season.

Portland opened the week with a tightly contested 3-2 win, securing victories on Flights 1, 2, and 3.

The duo of Sarah Incitti and Tate Mercer delivered the first point for the Pilots with a strong straight-set victory on Flight 2, 21-12, 21-17. Shortly after, Leonie Freytag and Elin Larsson battled through three sets on Flight 1 to defeat Hailey Heider and Kate Palelek, 21-17, 19-21, 15-11.

The deciding point came from Mic Strati and Val Bruk on Flight 3. After dropping the second set, the pair regrouped and closed the match with a 15-9 third-set win to secure the team victory.

In the second dual, Bushnell claimed four of the five flights to take the match 4-1. Freytag and Larsson once again picked up the Pilots' lone point, rallying after a first-set loss to earn a 17-21, 21-11, 15-9 win on Flight 1.

Up Next, the Pilots will travel to California for the Sac State Tournament next weekend at Hornet Beach in Sacramento.
