THIS WEEK
• Portland returns home on Wednesday for a doubleheader against Corban, marking the Pilots' final home matches of the season. First serve is set for 11 a.m., followed by the second match at 2 p.m. at the Tom and Meg Names Family Foundation Beach Volleyball Courts.
• Prior to the matches, the Pilots will celebrate Senior Day, honoring Jordan Bardouche, Elizabeth Ortiz, Valerie Bruk, Leonie Freytag, Elin Larsson, Michela Strati, and Hannah Debban for their contributions to the program.
• Portland will then travel north to Seattle for the Alki Beach Invitational, hosted by Washington, on Friday and Saturday. The Pilots will open the weekend against Boise State and Washington on Friday before facing Florida Atlantic and Oregon on Saturday.

LAST WEEK
• The Portland Pilots competed in four duals at the West Coast Challenge in Santa Cruz, Calif., falling to Pepperdine and Santa Clara on Friday before closing the weekend against San Francisco and Pacific on Saturday.
• Portland opened the tournament with a 5-0 loss to Pepperdine. The Pilots showed competitiveness across the lineup, highlighted by a close battle at the No. 5 position where Melissa Cormack and Jeryn Hildenbrand pushed their match to a 21-19, 21-17 decision. Elin Larsson and Leonie Freytag also fought at the top spot but came up short in straight sets.
• In the second dual of the day, the Pilots fell 5-0 to Santa Clara, with several pairs forcing extended matches. The No. 1 duo of Freytag and Larsson claimed the opening set before ultimately dropping a three-set battle, while Valerie Bruk and Michela Strati also went the distance at the No. 3 position.
• Portland wrapped up the weekend on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to San Francisco and fell 2-3 to the Pacific Tigers.

ABOUT THE PILOTS
• Dylan Hamilton steps into his third year as the lead coach of the beach volleyball program, with assistant coach Kili Robins returning to the Bluff for her second season. Joining the program is Madi Culp, volunteer assistant coach.
• The Pilots return six players from last year's roster: Michela Strati, Valerie Bruk, Elizabeth Ortiz, Melissa Cormack, Leonie Freytag and Hannah Debban.
• The beach volleyball program welcomes four new athletes to their roster including Greta Kesmodel, Tate Mercer, Sarah Incitti, Lillian Lansing, Jeryn Hildenbrand, Josie Povey, and Nyah Mitchell.
• Elin Larsson and Jeryn Hildenbrand are returning from the Pilot's 2025 indoor roster.
• Pilots finished 2024 season with a 5-17 record.
