THIS WEEKEND: PAYTON JORDAN INVITE & PORTLAND TWILIGHT
• The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams are competing in two meets this week, first the Payton Jordan Invite in Stanford on Thursday, May 2nd, and then the Portland Twilight on Friday, May 3rd.
• Noah Schutte will compete first for the Pilots in Stanford on Thursday, May 2, in the men's 3000m steeplechase, beginning at 7:33 PM.
• Michal Jones competes first on Friday at the Portland Twilight in the women's 400m hurdles with a start time of 3:30 PM.

LAST MEET: OSU HIGH PERFORMANCE
• Redshirt-Freshman Sofia Castiglioni claimed Portland's sole first-place finish in the women's 5000m, setting a personal record of 17:42.60.
• In the men's 3000m steeplechase, Henry Hayes claimed a second-place overall finish with his PR of 8:58.49

THIS SEASON
• In her first ever 10k race, Becca Howard moved into eighth place in UP's all-time records in the women's 10,000m with a time of 34:29.96.
• At the Mt. Sac Relays, both Emmanuel Roudolff-Levisse and Michael Teran-Solano collected PRs in the men's 10,000m, with Roudolff-Levisse placing fifth overall.
• Devin Wulff claimed Portland's sole first-place finish at the John Knight Twilight in the 5000m, completing the race in a time of 15:05.15.
• Junior Maya Murphy-Cook placed fifth in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 15.02 to beat her previous time and keep her fifth-place spot in UP's all-time records.
• The men's 1500m also had its share of personal bests for the Pilots, including Peter Allegre at 3:56.98, Ryan Clarke at 4:02.84, John T. Kavulich at 4:03.27, and Jake Knoblich at 4:06.98.
• In Hayward, Redshirt Becca Howard placed ninth in the women's 5000m to record a new personal best of 16:29.60, beating her previous time by 32 seconds and moving her into the UP All-Time Outdoor records at 10th all-time.
• In Stanford, Caleb Webb claimed the best finish for Portland by finishing 20th in the 10,000m invitational heat for a new personal record of 29:17.84.
• Freshman Tara Fuiten finished with an individual record of 27.71 in the women's 200m at the Willamette Invitational.
• Fellow teammates Grace Oswin and Elle Becker also ran PRs later on in the women's 1500m, finishing in times of 4:55.32 and 4:56.12, respectively.
• Freshman Sofia Castiglioni secured a second place finish for the Pilots in the women's 5000m in 18:00.32.
• Jake Knoblich claimed a new personal record of 9:44.97 in the 3000m steeplechase.
• In the 1500m, John Kavulich and Ryan Clarke also performed well for Portland, coming in at times of 4:06.24 and 4:11.385.
• Senior Noah Schutte placed first in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open.
• Redshirt seniors LaRocco and Rawlings opened the Indoor track and field season in December with both Pilots competing in the Indoor 5000m.
• LaRocco (15:33.20) broke the UP 5000m Indoor school record, which she had previously held, by 17 seconds.
• Rawlings jumped into to the all-time records at third all-time.
• Orndorf (3:59.94) produced a historic race at the UW Indoor Preview, becoming the first Pilot in UP history to run a sub-four minute mile. He surpassed Portland alum Ryan Poland (4:01.28) who last set the record for the indoor mile in 2014.
• The Pilots produced several record book worthy performances at the UW Invite, with redshirt Rawlings highlighting the day on the women's side, with a new UP indoor mile record, besting her previous time of 4:40.78 to 4:36.92.
 • Orndorf again posted an incredible performance to move up to second all-time in the indoor 3000m, finishing sixth in his heat with a time of 7:52.33.
• Junior Emmanuel Roudolff-Levisse was right behind him in the fastest heat of the 3000m, crossing the line ninth overall in 7:55.05. Roudolff-Levisse records a new PR in the indoor 3000m, but remains at fourth all-time in the UP records.
 • Redshirt junior Caleb Webb also ran an exceptional 3000m, winning his heat, posting a new personal best of 8:04.73, and breaking into the indoor records at ninth all-time.
• Sophomore Evert Silva came close to winning the heat, for a second-place finish. Silva also posted a new personal best of 8:04.91 to clinch the 10th spot on the UP all-time records list.
• In the women's 3000m, Richardson led the women with a second-place finish in her heat to break into the women's 3000m records at eighth all-time.
• Taryn Rawlings moved up to second all-time in the UP indoor records at the Husky Invite, with a new 3000m personal record of 9:20.05.
• In the women's 5000m, junior Aoibhe Richardson moved up to fourth all-time in the UP record books with a new personal best of 16.16.98.
• Senior Michael Somers led Portland with an impressive 11th place overall finish and a time of 13:47.87, breaking into the indoor records at second all-time.
• Rawlings placed third overall on the final day of the MPSF Championships in the women's mile to record a new personal record of 4:36.00, besting her previous school record time.
• Richardson (9:21.97) finished 16th overall in the women's 5000m to move up to third all-time in the UP records, followed by Howard who placed 23rd for a 9th all-time finish
• Junior Cole Shugart took first place in the 10,000m at Linfield to start off the season, leading the pack with a time of 30:65.91 for a new PR.
• In Salem at the Willamette Opener, sophomore Evert Silva led the Pilots with a first place finish in the 1500m at the Willamette Opener.
• At Willamette, juniors Emily Peterson and Maya Murphy-Cook highlighted the day with first place finishes in their respective events, while several Pilots ran their first track and field competitions wearing the purple jersey. Murphy-Cook won the 100m dash in 12.59 and the 200m in 26.28. Peterson crossed the finish line first in the 1500m in 4:54.32.
• At Roosevelt High, sophomore Lacey Conner took first in the 2k steeplechase in 7:05. Senior Dylan Hite finished just behind the sophomore in second place in 7:21.
• Lauren LaRocco earned her seventh All-American honor in the Pilot jersey by placing 13th overall in the 5000m at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, completing the race in 16:07.96.
• Senior Taryn Rawlings then took fourth place in the indoor mile final with a time of 4:38.47, marking her third All-American honor of her collegiate career.
• Redshirt sophomore Lacey Conner secured another first place win in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open, recording a new personal best of 10:48.87.
• Juniors Maddy Lyons and Michal Jones also finished first in events at the LC Spring Break Open, the women's 800m and the women's 400m hurdles, respectively.

LAST SEASON
• Five Pilots earned All-American Honors at the 2018 NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships.
• Then-redshirt freshman Riley Osen finished eighth among an elite field in the final race of the 3000m steeplechase at Historic Hayward Field, garnering the first All-American (first team) honors of his career.
• Then-junior Taryn Rawlings finished sixth in the women's 1500m final to conclude the final day of the 2018 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Rawlings crossed the finish line at 4:11.37 to break her UP school record, again, and claim first-team All-American honors with her podium finish.
• Then-junior Lauren LaRocco finished 15th overall in the 10,000m final, marking her fifth All-American honor (honorable mention) of her career.
• Then-Senior Matt Welch and then-sophomore Emmanuel Roudolff-Levisse also competed in a strong 10,000m final, with Welch and Roudolff-Levisse holding strong through a challenging race to finish 17th and 20th, respectively. Both Pilots ended the meet by earning All-American honorable mention.
