PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots volleyball team have brought on Claire Forrest, who began her collegiate career with Seton Hall as a true freshman in 2018, announced head coach Jeff Baxter.
"Claire is a great worker who we cannot wait to get into the gym with," said Baxter. "It's obvious she is a fierce competitor and will add some offensive firepower to our roster."
As a Pirate, Forrest was used as both an outside hitter and middle blocker and played in 49 sets over 18 matches. She notched two matches with 10 kills, including a career-high 11 kills against VCU.
Born in Pasadena, California, Forrest collected a myriad of accolades while attending La Salle High School, including being named San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena Now Player of the Year as a senior. Forrest led La Salle to four straight league titles, and collected over 1,000 kills, 800 digs, 700 solo blocks and 300 aces over the course of her high school career. At the club level, she played for San Gabriel Elite and was nominated to the PrepVolleyball watch list for her performance.
