RIDGEFIELD, Wash. --- Portland's Tracye Tammaro and Sean Mulcare both belted game slams, Eli Morse was stellar on the mound, and the Pilots completed a four-game sweep of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks with a 17-1 win on Sunday at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex. Chad Stevens also collected four RBI's for the Pilots, who out-hit the 'Jacks 21-3.

Christian Cooney was 4-for-5 with three runs scored on Sunday, and Dutton Elske went 3-for-5, while also scoring three times.

The Pilots didn't waste any time as they scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to surge in front. Jake Holcroft sent a double to deep left field, and Stevens followed with an RBI single for the game's first run. Travis Turney then provided an RBI single, and Ben Petacsil drove a double into the right-center gap that brought home Turney to make the score 3-0.

In the second, the Pilots took control of the game with a five-spot. The first run scored courtesy a bases loaded walk, and with the bases still full of Pilots, Tammaro left the yard with towering shot to right field. It's Tammaro's third home run of the weekend and his sixth on the year, and it gave the Pilots an 8-1 cushion.

Stevens added a two-run double down the right field line in the third inning and the rout was on. In the fifth, Holcroft continued his remarkable series with an RBI single, and the Pilots were on top 11-1. An inning later, Mulcare lifted the Pilots' second grand slam out to right field. It's the third homer for Mulcare.

Portland scored two more runs in the bottom of the eighth to complete the dub.

Morse (2-0) yielded just one run on three hits in 7.0 innings of work. The junior righty fanned seven, and reliever Nathan Brezner-Mendoza held the 'Jacks hitless during the final 2.0 innings.

SFA (3-9) used six pitchers on the day, and the loss goes to starter Reece Easterling (0-2), who lasted just one inning.

Holcroft was unconscious at the plate in the series, going 11-for-16 overall. His also tallied two doubles, a homer, and four RBI's, and he scored seven runs.

The Pilots improve to 10-1 this year, which is the best start since the 2010 Portland squad opened the season 11-1.

The Pilots next travel to Seattle, Wash., for their first road game of the season on Tuesday against the Washington Huskies. First pitch at Husky Ballpark is set for 6:05 p.m.
