PORTLAND, Ore.---The Portland men's and women's cross country teams are headed to Eugene on Friday for the Oregon XC Open, hosted by the Ducks at Lane Community College. The women's 5K race is set to begin at 10:00am, with the men's 8K following right after at 11:00am.

Live results for both races will be available at PortlandPilots.com, and no spectators will be allowed to attend the event.

Other participating schools in the meet include Oregon, Oregon State, Gonzaga, San Francisco, and Lane.

This past weekend, both Portland programs started the 2020-21 seasons with individual wins in dual contests with Seattle U. Sophomore McKenna Smith took first place in the women's 5.32K race around campus, and junior John Kavulich collected first in the men's 7.47K.

Sunday's dual meet saw many other notable performances from both Pilots squads, as Tait Rowley claimed second overall in her debut with the women's team, and the men's side swept the podium's top eight places against the Redhawks.
