CORVALLIS, Ore.---The Pilots men's and women's track and field teams produced an impressive showing on day one of the OSU High Performance Meet on Friday, including four new Top-10 all-time finishes.

Cathal Doyle collected an individual win in the men's 1500 meter invitational run, crossing the line in a time of 3:43.52 for a new personal best and the seventh-place spot on the all-time finish list.

Caleb Webb claimed a first-place victory in the men's 5000 meter invitational run with a new PR of 13:46.51, good for fourth-place all-time in the event.

In the men's 1500 meter run, four Pilots garnered new personal bests, including Bradley Peloquin (3:52.02), Sean Tan (3:56.99), Jake Knoblich (3:57.47), and James Parker (4:00.31).

Later on in the men's 10,000 meter invitational, all five Portland runners competing each ended the race with new personal records, with Jacob Klemz coming in first in third-place overall with a time of (29:06.95).

"Best meet of the year," said men's head coach Rob Conner. The guys were all really impressive!"

On the women's side, Veerle Bakker clocked in at 10:15.64 in the 3000 meter steeplechase, an improvement from her previous personal best which keeps her in second-place in school history in the race.

Anna Pataki registered a new personal record in the women's 5000 meter run, coming in at 16:01.22 to record the fifth-best time in program history.

Makenna Cowan notched second-place in the women's 1500 meter run open at 4:50.55, Alexa Hague finished fourth in 4:54.09, and Grace Oswin collected eighth in a time of 4:58.98, with all three times marking new PRs for each of the Portland runners.

"Great run by Anna tonight to move to number five all time in the 5k and a nice improvement by Veerle in the steeple," said women's head coach Ian Solof. "Laura also impressed me with her tough racing in the 1500."

The OSU High Performance Meet will continue tomorrow, with six men's runners slated to compete first in the 800 meter run, set for 2:40 p.m.
