Portland Head Coach Nick Carlin-Voigt on the win
"Very proud of the boys tonight as we played an excellent second half scoring four goals in different ways. I told the guys I couldn't be more proud of their regular season, which hit many new milestones. Of course, everyone was disappointed not to win the WCC championship tonight, but that's a sign of a really healthy program where the standards are sky high. To only lose two games all season and go unbeaten at home demonstrates the season the guys earned playing the non-conference schedule we played. We will probably end up as the top scoring team in the country in goals per game. We will turn the page quickly and see what the future holds as this team isn't done playing and we strongly believe we have earned the right to be awarded an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament with our regular season body of work and top-50 RPI results."
