PORTLAND, Ore. – After a stellar 13-4 start to the season, the Portland Pilots women's basketball team is ranked 18
th in the College Insider Women's Mid-Major Top 25. This is their first time making the top 25 of the College Insider poll this season.
The Pilots are one of three WCC teams to make the top 25, with the BYU Cougars sitting first in the rankings and the Gonzaga Bulldogs ranked fourth. The Cougars are also ranked 16
th in the nation in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today's Coaches Poll while the Zags are currently receiving votes in both polls.
The Pilots are 13-4 overall this season and 3-2 in WCC play after most recently taking down the San Diego Toreros 68-55. The Pilots will welcome BYU to the Chiles Center this Thursday, with tipoff for the game set for 5 p.m. The game will be part of a Pilot basketball doubleheader televised on ROOT Sports.
