SEATTLE, Wash. – The No. 16-ranked Washington Huskies secured a 7-0 win over the Portland Pilots in non-conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon at Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The Pilots took a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles behind the strong play of Sally Pethybridge and Rimona Rouf. Washington won 6-3 and 6-2 at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, respectively, to claim the doubles point.
The Huskies won all six singles matches in straight sets to remain undefeated at 6-0 on the season.
Portland will be back in action on Feb. 12-13 in Eugene, Ore. for a pair of dual matches. The Pilots and Eastern Washington meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday and then the Pilots will take on the host Oregon Ducks on Sunday at 2 p.m.
