SALEM, Ore.---The Pilots bounced back to defeat the Bushnell Beacons 5-0 in the team's concluding dual match at the Northwest Invitational on Saturday afternoon, after the NAIA's eighth-ranked Corban Warriors narrowly edged Portland by a 3-2 margin earlier in the day.
 
The Portland 2s and 3s pairs both collected sweeps against their Warriors opposition, with Grace Zilbert and Charity Bradley securing the 2s dub with set scores of 21-19 and 21-17, and Sophie Lee and Taylor Helle taking the 3s contest at 21-18 and 21-17.
 
Pilots 1s Noelani Helm and Sarah Strong went to three sets against Corban's Avari Ridgway and Makenna Campbell, being just held off in a tight final frame to give the Warriors the win.
 
Portland claimed a team sweep against the Beacons in the second match of the day, with 4s pair Keilani Mumolo and Annika Stammberger and 5s Kendall Nolan and Lia Hawken both grinding out 2-1 flight wins.
 
The Pilots remain 3-6 in duals competition, and return to action at the WCC Invitational in Santa Cruz, Calif. on March 25-26.
