PALO ALTO, Calif./EUGENE, Ore.---Portland track and field's Cathal Doyle, Jacob Klemz, Riley Osen, and Veerle Bakker each produced Top-10 all-time finishes at the Stanford Invitational on Friday night, and eight more Pilots produced new personal records at the Hayward Premiere in Eugene.

Over in Palo Alto, Doyle captured second-place all-time debuting in the men's 5000m event, securing ninth in the invitational heat with a time of 13:38.01. Klemz landed the fifth-best program finish in the men's 5000m open race, crossing the line at 13:47.42 (PR) to take ninth individually.

Osen clocked a new personal best of 8:40.13 in the men's 3000m steeplechase to finish seventh on the night, good for sixth-place all-time in the Portland record books.

Bakker claimed third-place all-time in the women's 5000m run, finishing 12th overall in the invitational section with a PR of 15:54.19.

Back in Eugene at historic Hayward Field, Chris Morzenti garnered fifth overall with a personal record of 3:49.20 in the men's 1500m invitational heat, and Eliason Kabasenche locked in seventh-place in the men's 3000m steeplechase invite with a new individual best of 8:53.79.

All four of Portland's competitors in the men's 5000m invite finished with new PRs, with Bradley Peloquin collecting sixth in 14:02.56, John Kavulich in ninth at 14:20.73, Justin Hazell in 21st at 14:54.27, and Jona Bodirsky in 22nd at 15:23.96.

Emma Jenkins earned seventh in the women's 5000m invitational race at 16:25.94, and Mie Nielsen strode into seventh-place in the 5000m open with a time of 17:23.97—both performances notching improved PRs.
"Great 5Ks for Veerle and Emma!" said women's head coach Ian Solof. "They both took advantage of the situation and ended up with huge PRs. I was really impressed with how they competed."
