SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Portland volleyball team beat the Nevada Wolf Pack in five sets (25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 17-25, 15-13) Friday at The Nest. The non-conference win improved the Pilots' record to 2-0 this season.
The Pilots were led by a double-double from Maui Robins, who registered 19 kills and 10 digs on the day. Charity Bradley also added 11 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Noelani Helm chipped in for with 13 digs to go with seven blocks from Una Rajkovic.

SET 1 | The Pilots took control on the first point and never looked back to win the first set 25-22. Portland led by 10 points at 23-13 before closing out the set.
SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Portland put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-23 victory in set number two. The Pilots took the lead for good at 24-23 in a set that featured 14 ties and eight lead changes. Portland's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Nevada attacks.
SET 3 | Portland saw an opportunity for another sweep, but Nevada fought back. The Pilots fought through a tough set but fell short with 25-18. Portland trailed by as many as seven points as Nevada grabbed the advantage for good at 11-10 in a set that was tied up three times before the Wolf Pack took over the lead.
SET 4 | Portland then dropped their second straight set 25-17, leaving the game at a tie. The Pilots trailed by as many as eight points as Nevada grabbed the advantage for good at 18-17 and Portland wasn't able to recover in a set that was knotted up five times before the Wolf Pack took over in the second half.
SET 5 | Portland closed the game off in the fifth set. After they jumped out to an early two set lead, Nevada responded to take the third and fourth sets before the Pilots finished off their victory with a 15-13 fifth-set win. The Pilots scored first and never trailed in the fifth set to earn the victory. Portland opened up as much as a seven point lead at 10-3 before closing out the set, totaling nine kills along the way.
