PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (2-0-2) remain unbeaten through four games after taking down the Montana Grizzlies (0-2-2) 2-0 at home. It's the first time they've gone unbeaten in their first four matches since 2013.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Keeley Dockter opened the scoring with a goal in the 42nd minute. Her goal was her first of the season and of her career.
- Cally Togiai closed the scoring with a goal in the 68th minute, her first of the season. The assist came from Emily Collier.
GAME NOTES
- Dockter and Togiai's goals were the firsts of their season. Togiai is now tied for the team lead in points for the year with four.
- This is the first time since 2013 that the Pilots have gone unbeaten in their first four game.
- Bre Norris saved seven shots for the second game in a row. Her career high for saves in a game is eight.
- Norris has two games now with seven saves or more, already matching last season. This is the first time she's had back-to-back games of seven saves or more.

"I think Montana was everything we thought they would be in terms of their organization, the spirit that they played with, the intensity that they played with, and while I don't think we necessarily played the prettiest soccer today, those are the kinds of games that you need to find a way to grind out a win. I think that's an important lesson for this young team to realize that they can do it… a win is a win at this point and we'll take it."
