PORTLAND, Ore. -- MacKenzie Frimpong Ellertson scored her first goal in a Pilot uniform, but the Pilots fell 2-1 to the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The loss dropped Portland's record to 7-2-2 overall and 1-1-0 in WCC action.
How it Happened
Portland opened the scoring when Mackenzie Frimpong Ellertson notched her first goal of the season in the sixth minute. It was her first goal as a Pilots.
The Pilots held strong most of the match, The Bulldogs leveled the contest on a goal from Chelsea Le in the 79th minute. Gonzaga then took a 2-1 lead soon after on Grace Courter's 80th-minute goal, assisted by Maddie Kemp. The 2-1 score held to the end of the game.

- Frimpong Ellertson's goal was her first of the season and of her Pilot career.
- Bre Norris totaled seven saves for the Pilots out of 17 total Bulldogs shots, a season high.
- Portland totaled 10 shots on goal.
- This is the first match the Pilots have allowed more than one goal in this season. Their 10 matches without allowing more than one goal prior to that were the fewest they'd conceded through their first 10 contests since 2008.
- Their four goals allowed are still the fewest they've allowed through 11 games since 2008.
