LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots bounced back with a 1-0 win over the LMU Lions on the road. Portland improved to 8-2-2 overall and 2-1-0 in WCC action following the win.
How it Happened
Portland earned the win off a second-half header from Violet Rademacher in the 49th minute. Cally Togiai assisted on the goal. The 1-0 score would hold to the end of the match.
Game Notes
- Rademacher's goal was her third of the year, which is second on the Pilots. All of her goals have come off headers.
- Bre Norris piled up one save for the Pilots out of six total Lions shots.
- This is the ninth shutout of the year for Norris and the Pilots, making this the most shutouts they've had through nine matches since 2008.
- At 27 shutouts, Norris moves to fifth all-time in program history in shutouts.
- Portland's four goals conceded through 12 games are the fewest since 2008.
- The Pilots are tied for first in the nation in fewest goals conceded and goals against average (.333).
