PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland volleyball team could not overcome a dynamic Waves offense Saturday at home losing to Pepperdine in straight sets (9-25, 22-25, 14-25). The loss dropped Portland's record to 6-11 overall and 1-4 in WCC play.
Elin Larsson finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Pilots attack. Portland was led defensively by Kili Robins who recorded 9 digs on the day.

SET 1 | The Pilots fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-9. Portland trailed by as many as 16 points as Pepperdine grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times before the Waves took control.
SET 2 | Portland then dropped the second set 25-22 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Pilots lost set two despite a strong performance on the attacking end. Portland registered a .353 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set loss.
SET 3 | Pepperdine finished the sweep with a set-three victory. The Pilots fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-14.
