MORAGA, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots played the Saint Mary's Gaels to a 0-0 draw in Moraga on Wednesday. Portland moved to 10-3-3 overall and 4-2-1 in WCC action following the draw.
Portland totaled seven shots in the scoreless tie, five of them on goal. The Pilots faced 14 Saint Mary's shots, eight of them on goal. Bre Norris shined for the Pilots, collecting eight saves on the day to preserve the tie.
Game Notes
- This is the 11th shutout of the year for Portland, matching last season's total. It's just the third time they've had at least 11 shutouts in a season since 2010.
- Their eight goals allowed through 16 games are the fewest they've allowed through 16 contests since 2009.
- Norris's eight saves are a season high and also match her career high.
- Norris's shutout total rises to 30 as well, making her the fourth Pilot in program history to reach 30 shutouts for their career.
