Portland-BYU Women's Basketball Game Postponed to Monday

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Tonight's women's basketball contest between the Portland Pilots and the BYU Cougars has been postponed due to inclement weather and travel issues for the Pilots. The two teams will play now on Monday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m./4 p.m. MT.
 
"We are disappointed that unprecedented weather in Portland, and travel cancellations, made playing tonight's game not possible," Portland Vice President for Athletics Scott Leykam said. "We're grateful to BYU for working with us to reschedule."

The Portland Pilots have put together yet another solid year under head coach Michael Meek. They are 20-7 overall and 14-2 in WCC play, with their conference record matching a program best for win total. This is also the sixth time the Pilots have posted at least 20 wins in a season in its Division I history and the third time under Meek. The Pilots are currently second in the WCC and have already clinched a bye straight to the semifinals of the University Credit Union WCC Tournament this March.

The Pilots' next game will now be on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. against the San Diego Toreros in San Diego. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
