STANFORD, Calif. -- The Pilots fell in two matches against the No. 7 Stanford Cardinal and St. Mary's Gaels. The matches were concluded with scores of 5-0 and 4-1, respectively.
Jayde Harris and Grace Zilbert were able to clinch a victory in Match No.1 scoring 21-18 and 21-17 to keep it to two sets. This was the Pilot's lone match victory for the day. The duo came on strong from the beginning and held on to their lead throughout each set, ultimately winning the match overall.
"After two tough matches in challenging windy conditions, we are excited to bounce back into action vs Pacific tomorrow afternoon," said Coach Dylan Hamilton. "I thought we did a nice job of competing with some very strong teams, playing through some nerves, and executing what we've been working on all preseason. We're fired up to continue improving and battling against two more great teams this week."
The Pilots will head to Stockton for a matchup with Pacific, set for Thursday, March 2nd.
