SALEM, Ore. -- The Pilots were defeated by NAIA No. 1 Corban University in two matches today, with scores of 2-3 in both matches. 

 

In the first match, Pilot 4s and 5s duos of Sophie Lee/Elin Larsson and Keilani Mumulo/Charity Bradley were able to sweep their sets, scoring 21-19, 21-14 and 21-12, 21-12, respectively. 

 

The second set saw different Pilot duos winning their sets. Portland 2s, 3s, and 6s duos of Noelani Helm/Taylor Helle, Jayde Harris/Grace Zilbert and Michela Strati/Jordan Bardouche were able to register set wins. The scores for their matches were 21-17, 21-19 for the Pilot 2s duo, 21-18, 16-21, 15-11 for the 3s duo, and 22-20, 23-21 for the 6s.  

 

Due to the matches being postponed, the Pilots will gear up for the WCC Mid-Season Invitational on March 25-26, 2023 in Santa Cruz, Calif.
