PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Pilots Volleyball program will return to the Bluff to take on the Oregon State Beavers this Saturday, Aug. 19, starting at 1:30 p.m. Admission to the event will be free.
The exhibition match against Oregon State will be the Pilot's first match of the 2023 season, starting their 29 match season. In 2022, the Pilots finished up with a record of 10-19, winning both the Sacramento State Invitational and the Portland North Marriott Invitational in the process. This marked the first time since 2018 that the Pilots won multiple tournaments in a single season.
Oregon State finished off their 2022 campaign with a record of 7-23. This year, they will be under the tutelage of their new coach, Lindsey Behonick, who is joining their program from Pittsbourgh.
The Pilots will begin their regular season matches at the Bearkat Invitational Tournament in Houston, Texas on Aug. 25 against Corpus Christi, starting at 9:30 a.m. Regular season home matches will begin during the University of Portland Invitational on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m., where the Pilots will face off against University of Wyoming.
