CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots battled on the road against the Oregon State Beavers, earning a 1-1 draw. Portland moved to 2-1-1 on the season with the tie.
How it Happened
Oregon State took a 1-0 lead when Mckenna Martinez scored in the first minute of the match. She took the ball early and pushed ahead within the first 30 seconds to give the Beavers an early lead. The Pilots leveled the game on a own goal by Oregon State in the 65th minute. The Pilots locked in defensively the rest of the second half, as neither team tacked on another goal in the match.
Game Notes
- The Pilots have yet to allow more than one goal in a match this season. The last time they did that through the first four matches was 2019.
- Bre Norris collected three saves for the Pilots out of nine total Beavers shots.
- Portland recorded two shots on goal.
- The Pilots have allowed just two goals in four matches, the fewest of any WCC team three weeks in.
