<p>PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots are undefeated through four games after their 78-55 win over Seattle U, their fourth straight double-digit victory. It's the first time they've started 4-0 since the 2019-20 season.</p>
<p>The Pilots (4-0) had four players score in double figures, led by Trista Hull, who had 15 points, six rebounds and seven blocks in a dominant all-around performance. Her point total is a season high while her block total marks a career high. Emme Shearer tacked on 14 points and Maisie Burnham chipped in as well with 12 points. Lainey Spear added 11 points off the bench.</p>
<p>The Portland offense was impressive from three-point land, knocking down eight threes on 18 attempts. The Portland defense was a problem in Tuesday's game, forcing 20 Seattle U turnovers with and adding 12 steals. Those takeaways turned into 19 points on the other end of the floor. Rhyan Mogel led the way individually for the Pilots with four steals, a season high.</p>
<p><strong>How It Happened</strong></p>
<p>After playing to an 8-8 tie early in the game, Portland went on a 10-0 run with 5:20 left in the first quarter, culminating in a bucket from Lainey Spear, to take an 18-8 lead. The Pilots then added one point to that lead by the end of the period and entered the quarter break with a 26-15 advantage.</p>
<p>Portland built that first quarter lead to 36-23 before going on a 13-0 run starting at the 4:35 mark in the second period, highlighted by a bucket from Shearer, to increase its lead to 49-23. The Pilots kept that lead for the remainder of the period and enjoyed a 52-26 advantage heading into halftime. Portland dominated in the paint, scoring 14 of its 26 points close to the basket.</p>
<p>After intermission, Portland held on to its advantage and owned a 65-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Pilots then held on for the victory in the fourth quarter.</p>
<p><strong>Game Notes</strong></p>
<p class="needToKnow">» The Pilots shot well from three-point range, knocking down eight of 18 long range attempts. They've made at least 40% of their three-pointers in three of their four contests.<br />
» The Pilots never trailed after going on a 10-0 run halfway through the first quarter.<br />
» Portland tallied 20 total assists in the game. This is the second game they've recorded at least 20 assists on the night.<br />
» The Portland bench came alive by scoring 27 points to its scoring output. Spear's 11 points led the way.<br />
» Trista Hull made an impact defensively with seven blocks in the contest. That total is a career high for the forward.<br />
» The Pilots were active in affecting shots on the defensive end, tallying nine blocks as a team.<br />
» Portland had a 32-27 edge on the boards in the win.<br />
» The Portland defense forced 20 turnovers with 12 steals.<br />
» Trista Hull led the Pilots with 15 points. Emme Shearer added 14 and Maisie Burnham added 12.<br />
» Portland got a game-high six rebounds from both Alexis Mark and Trista Hull. Mark has posted at least six rebounds in every game this season.<br />
» This is the first time the Pilots have started 4-0 since the 2019-20 season.<br />
» The Pilots have won every game to start this season by double digits. It's the first time they've won their first four games by double digits.</p>
