SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The Portland Pilots could not overcome an opposing Dons offense Thursday on the road falling to San Francisco in straight sets (13-25, 16-25, 19-25). The loss dropped Portland's record to 11-11 overall and 4-8 in WCC play.
Maui Robins finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Pilots offense. Portland got seven digs from Amiyah Eason along with six blocks from Taina Kaauwai to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-13. Portland trailed by as San Francisco grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 in a set that was knotted up four times before the Dons took control.
SET 2 | A 25-16 second-set loss put Portland in a 2-0 hole in the match. Portland trailed by as the Dons grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that was tied up four times before the Dons took over the lead.
SET 3 | Portland couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Pilots dropped a tough set 25-19. Portland tied the set up 10 times before the Dons took over in the second half.
