How It Happened

Their six points allowed are the fewest the Pilots have conceded in a quarter against a Division I team this season.
Portland continued to pummel the Vikings, adding a 7-0 run in the middle of the second quarter to take a 33-12 lead with just under six minutes to go. The Pilots enjoyed a 37-15 advantage heading into halftime.
The Pilots expanded their halftime lead with a 9-0 run that made it 50-24 with 2:34 left in the third quarter. The Vikings had cut that lead to just 20 before the end of the quarter, but the Pilots were in charge. The Pilots cruised the rest of the way for the 71-46 win.
