SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Six Portland Pilots have been recognized with All-WCC honors for the 2024 season, as announced by the conference. To qualify, athletes must have participated in at least half their team's games, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, and reached at least sophomore standing. Milan Hague and Teresa Perez earned spots on the All-Academic Team, while Brionna Holso, Kate Newton, Avery Owen and Tiahna Woodger received honorable mentions.

Hague, a senior majoring in Chemistry, set personal records in both the 4K and 5K this season while competing in five races. She achieved a time of 15:38.3 in the 4K at the Gator Cross and a 20:01.5 in the 5K at the Charles Bowles Willamette XC Invitational. Perez, a graduate student pursuing an MBA, competed in six races this season, setting personal bests in the 4K and 6K. At the Gator Cross Meet, she recorded a 4K PR of 13:26.6; at the Linfield George Oja Invitational, she finished fourth with a 6K PR of 20:57.1, contributing to the team's scoring five in both events.

Holso, a sophomore majoring in Business Administration, set personal bests this season in the 4K, 5K, and 6K while competing in five races. She consistently contributed to scoring five and led the Pilots in three events. Newton, a senior Chemistry major, previously earned First Team All-WCC All-Academic honors in 2023 for her academic excellence. This year, she competed in four races while continuing to excel academically. Owen, a sophomore Business Administration major, also set personal bests in the 4K, 5K, and 6K across five races. Woodger, a senior majoring in Operations and Technology Management, competed in five races this season, including a personal-best performance in the 5K.
