SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Portland freshmen Tyler Harris and Bol Dengdit each recorded double-doubles and the Pilots led by 13 early in the second half, but the San Diego Toreros came back for a 71-66 victory Thursday night in WCC basketball action at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Harris, returning to the lineup after missing the last four games, finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year. Dengdit had 15 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Tyler Robertson added 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

How It Happened
The Pilots got a spark off the bench from Harris who had 13 points and six rebounds in the opening period. Bol Dengdit capped a 14-2 run to put the Pilots up 27-18 and Portland took a 38-30 lead into the half.
Portland extended the lead to 13 on a Harris jumper with 16:24 to go in regulation, but the Pilots then went cold from the field and went scoreless for the next 7:27 as the Toreros tied the game at 49-49.
Harris broke the streak with a pair of free throws and Juanse Gorosito followed with a corner three-pointer to push the Pilots back on top 54-49. USD responded with a 12-2 run finished by a Deuce Turner deep three for a 61-56 lead. Dengdit drilled a clutch corner three for a 63-61 deficit and 1:12 left, but the Toreros made their free throws in the final minute to ice the game.
