SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced on Thursday the results from the 2024 WCC Beach Volleyball Preseason Poll as well as the All-WCC Preseason Team. The Portland Pilots were picked to finish sixth in the conference.

The LMU Lions were picked to repeat as champions with 36 points as well as six first-place votes. The Pepperdine Waves were the only other team to receive a first-place vote, totalling 31 points. The Santa Clara Broncos and Saint Mary's Gaels were picked third and fourth with 24 and 22 points respectively, the San Francisco Dons were fifth with 16 points while the Pilots and the Pacific Tigers are sixth and seventh with 11 and seven points each.

The Pilots open their season at Corban University, taking on the Warriors on Friday, Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. Portland will also host two matches for the first time this year on the new Tom and Meg Names Foundation Beach Volleyball Courts, hosting Bushnell on March 17 and the Oregon Ducks on April 19.
