SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Portland men's tennis senior Oscar Brown earned 2024 All-WCC Second Team honors for singles, the league office announced on Tuesday. The all-conference honors were voted on by the league's nine head coaches.
Brown, a native of Sevenoaks, England, made the jump from primarily the No. 4 position last year to anchoring the Portland lineup at the No. 1 singles position throughout the 2024 season. He racked up a 12-13 overall record, 8-8 in dual matches and 3-3 against WCC opponents at the top of the lineup.
Brown was also named to the WCC All-Academic Team this Spring.
The Pilots qualified for the 2024 WCC Tournament and will face the Pacific Tigers in Thursday's opening round at 10 a.m. The event will be held at the Aztec Tennis Center on the San Diego State University campus.
